Gleam of Hope, Inc. is mission based organization rebuilding the lives of the fatherless in Haiti. Founded by Monette Dupiche, who immigrated to the US along with her husband and 4 kids to escape the political and economic turmoil in Haiti, Gleam of Hope is the result of her incredible kindness and drive to bring a positive change in the lives of as many Haitian kids as possible. The ministry received IRS tax exempt status in April of 2011.

Operating in a small village in Petite-Goave, GOH now serves more than 50 impoverished children. Those children faced an uncertain future without the proper education and care. Operated solely on donations, we are able to provide them with free education, a meal, clothes and school supplies.

Who We Are

The Organization was founded in the USA in 2011, but conduct its operations in Petit-Goave, approximately 70 miles southwest of Haiti's capital.

For over 5 years, GOH has been caring for the physical, spiritual and academic needs of the orphaned and abandoned children of Haiti. The Gleam of Hope Ministry consists of 4 main components:

GOH Housing/Orphanage Project – Unlike most operating orphanages/ministries that provides temporary shelter to children and families, our approach is to build a safe haven, a home based schooling environment whereby the children can feel they are in a family community.
GOH Education Project – Nurture their growth and expand their mind through free education to as many unfortunate children of Petit-Goave as possible.
GOH Water Treatment Project – Access to clean water lower the risk of disease among children/adults and also encourage children to attend school regularly. Our initiative for this year is to partner with another organization for access to water treatment products. Discussion for building of a well is also in the plan.
GOH Bible Fellowship Project - Share the Gospel, Conform to Christ's image, help families build a relationship with the Almighty and prepare them for service in the ministry.

Our Goals

From the beginning our goals have been to educate and groom the poor children of Haiti, so that they bring change to their country. As devout Christian missionaries, we are fulfilling our duty to the Lord by helping the needy. Here’s how we are doing it in Haiti:

• Provide needy children with free meals.

• Transform their minds through education.

• Provide children with free schooling (reading, writing, basic math and other subjects).

• Share God's love through Discipleship and Fellowship.

• Train and empower the locals by promoting best practice.
