SCHOOL SUPPLIES DONATION

More than 5 years since the vicious earthquake ripped Haiti apart, the education system is still in shambles and is seen by many as a luxury. It's estimated more than 250,000 Haitian children remain out of school. There are many who just do not have access to an education, and several others who are just too old for their grade level.

To start the cycle of change, GOH provides free classroom materials to 42 children. Our program covers children starting primary school up to 6th grade. The children range between 6 and 14-years -old.

We can do more if we each pitch in a little bit, together we can contribute to their success.

ABOUT US

We are Gleam of Hope. A volunteering, not-for-profit mission-based organization founded in the USA in 2011. GOH conducts its operations in Petit-Goave, Haiti, approximately 60 miles  southwest of Port-Au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. Our mission is to care for the physically, spiritually and academically disadvantaged orphans and abandoned children in that region.

Unlike most operating orphanages that provide temporary shelter to children, our approach is to build a safe haven, a home based schooling environment whereby the children can feel they are in a family community.

Gleam of Hope mission is to nurture their growth, expand their mind through education, teach them God's love, and instill confidence to help them become better, stronger, productive adults.

So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.  Matt 7:12
